Equipping
Biblical Revelation is the self-disclosure of God in Jesus. Jesus Christ makes it possible for man to know God and live a life of fellowship with Him. The record of this revelation is the Bible. Revelation produced the Bible.
The purpose of the Biblical revelation is to bring man into a living relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Within this relationship man will fulfill God’s unique and creative purpose for him. This purpose is significantly reflected in the Biblical revelation. It speaks to the totality of man. It interprets the meaning of life and its context. It identifies man’s being in relation to God. The revelation provides redeemed man with the needed guiding principles for redeemed living.
The Equipping Tract has been entrusted with teaching the record of God’s self-disclosure to its students. This purpose gives tremendous significance to the teacher and his preparation. It also gives great significance to every class session, as each teacher seeks to lead class members to understand God’s self-disclosure and His reasons for revealing Himself to each student. Understanding this adds meaning to the task of The Equipping Tract.
