God gave the Biblical festivals to reveal His character and to help us understand His plan of redemption. All Christians share in this rich family heritage.  Sukkot, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles, is a fall feast and is the last of the Biblical feasts each year.  It is a time of rejoicing, remembering, and celebrating God's provision and promises to us all.

RESET: 20/20 Challenge
RESET: 20/20 Challenge

Take the RESET: 20/20 challenge:  Starting October 1st, we're devoting 20 minutes a day to prayer for 20 days.  Returning to the basics for building a life of prayer and the delight of an abiding relationship with Jesus.

This 20-day challenge will prepare us, both corporately and individually, as we enter into and celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles and receive all that God desires to give to us.

Reset by Bob Sorge will be available for pickup on Sunday mornings and in our bookstore throughout the week.

  Camping

Traditionally, Sukkot is celebrated by building a sukkah which is a temporary shelter that reminds us how God tabernacles among men; therefore, each year we pack up our belongings and "tabernacle" at Huntsville State Park remembering and enjoying God's presence among us.

New Haven has reserved 30 sheltered sites for our use Friday and Saturday.  Each campsite includes a 12'x18' screened shelter with concrete floor, electricity, water, picnic table and fire ring. These campsites are $60 for 2 nights and can be reserved when you register.

  Activities

This festival has been referred to as "the season of our joy" because it is the most celebratory and joy-filled festival in the Bible.   We rejoice in the Lord by remembering and telling testimonies, or "glory-stories", sharing meals, having fun, and worshipping together.

Whether you're camping or not, be sure to join us at the park on Saturday fun activities, a BBQ meal, and a worship service in the afternoon.

Day visitors are required to pay $2 for park entrance and BBQ plates can be purchased from New Haven at the time of registration.
